MUSINGS FROM THE WOMB: Mommy Lougee's Love Letters to her Family

Lougee and Ali are like family to me. Four years ago, I was their doula for the birth of their eldest son at the hospital. The labor was more than 24 hours, but Lougee was a courageous and strong Momma, with Ali as her birth partner.

When I journey with my clients, and surely, my fellow birth keepers will agree with me, the bond remains forever. When I knew about her second pregnancy, and that she was nearing her term, I felt the need to get in touch with her, and to check on her plans for her birth in this time of Pandemic. And so our paths crossed again, as she asked me to be there for this birth of Zoe, a homebirth, this time around.

Today in Musings From The Womb, we are sharing a podcast called “Mommaland: Notes on Nurturing Life”, hosted by Adjeng Sarmiento-Buenaventura, featuring Lougee and Ali.

In this podcast, Lougee shares the birth stories of her children through love letters to each of them.

I encourage the expectant Moms and Dads, to listen to this podcast. Be blessed with hope and positivity. A reminder for all that you always have a choice. You can set your intentions and visualize the birth you want to step into, whether it be a beautiful birth in the hospital, birthing home or in the comforts of your home.
